Weekly gross estimates use rate and mileage midpoints, or annual pay divided by 52. We prefer carrier-stated miles.

When a carrier does not specify weekly mileage, Driver Pay Atlas uses default estimates of 2,300 miles for OTR and 2,100 miles for regional. These are platform assumptions; Samsara provides general industry context of 2,000–3,000 miles per week. Actual mileage varies. AI continuously researches published U.S. trucking offers in the background. Carrier-specific figures are refreshed as supported evidence changes. Industry-wide shifts can inform revisions to platform assumptions; these defaults are not a live national average and do not automatically change with each source refresh.
